A terrace area, roughly 10 feet deep and 25 feet wide, on East 91st Street in Manhattan. The existing cinderblock wall had to be destroyed, dismantled and carted away through the ground floor apartment, replaced by limestone on the vertical surfaces and New York State blue stone on the horizontal surfaces. New plantings include honeysuckle, climbing hydrangeas and skyrocket juniper. The terrace abuts a solarium dining area that sits beneath a massive atrium, the interior and exterior melding together so that the new exterior wall actually looks like the farthest interior wall. ...Click to read the article
